This has been a big week for the DMV, mostly in part to the release of Wale's 'Ambition' album. I actually can say that I never saw this coming. As in to say our area, since the culture of Hip Hop was created was always overlooked. Granted, we never had an act or an artist that was "nice" enough to give us that credibility. Today, Wale is the closest we have to giving us that credibility and after listening to the album couple times...this is a great introduction for the world to us. There is definitely a fusion of our own Go-Go music that comes across in a way that today's fans of rap would enjoy and for that alone this album gets the thumb up for me.
