Andre 3000 to Drop Solo LP..But Dismisses Outkast LP

I have been playing ALOT of Kast this week and randomly I got good and bad news.. Check it out..

Despite claims from Big Boi over the past year that Outkast is reuniting for an album, his former partner Andre 3000 has dismissed rumors that a project from the acclaimed duo is in the works. 3000 did, however, confirm that he is working on a long-awaited solo project.

“There's been a lot of talk on the Internet about an Outkast album and I have to say that as of now, there are no plans for another Outkast album,” he said. “There's a lot of music on the horizon. I've been living off the excitement of new artists. I've been privileged to have these new artists kind of reach out and grab back and say, ‘Hey, Andre, we want you on this song.’ So I've been taking those calls and for the last two years, I've been doing collaborations. So these new artists have kind of been keeping me alive. I've just really been feeding off of that and this year I think I'm planning to do a solo project. I don't know when it will come out, but hopefully it'll come out this year. As far as Outkast, I really don't know if or when that will happen.”


“The only thing I can really say is I'm going to get back to having fun because that's what it was all about when I started this in high school—with Outkast—those were like high school dreams," he added. "I'm 36 now, so I have grown-man dreams. This album will just be me being myself as normal.”

I dunno what's going on with the duo.. BUT.. I am glad that another LP will be dropped by one of Hip Hop's Most LYRICAL artist.. I stands by that..

The movie contract for late rapper/actor Tupac Shakur to appear in the 1992 film Juice has surfaced on popular auction site eBay. The contract is brief-but-authentic and includes some references and facts that fans may not have been aware of; like Shakur could have been given the role of either "Bishop" or "Q" in the film. Shakur would go on to play Bishop, with actor Omar Epps taking the role of Q.

Shakur's role also earned him "$1647.80 per 'studio week' for no less than seven (7) weeks," according to the contract.


There have reportedly been no offers for the contract. .

On if Drake have more of a target on his back: “All I know is that Drake is extremely talented and he’s very smart. I don’t think people realize how intelligent he is, so some things are… It’s fun. Some things are hip-hop and that’s what it is. if he does have a target on his back it’s because he’s extremely successful and he makes music people can relate to.”

QTip..Common.. and Now Nas Form The Standard

Rappers Common and Q-Tip announced back in 2007 that they were going to form a supergroup called The Standard and it looks like the project may finally be happening. In a surprising twist, another legendary emcee may be on board. Queensbridge rhymer Nas has reportedly joined the group, but the official plans for an album have not materialized as of yet.



The New York Daily News reports that Nas replied “Definitely,” when asked about recording with Common and Q-Tip.


Common just released The Dreamer, The Believer at the tail end of 2011 and both Q-Tip and Nas are currently recording upcoming albums.

Johnson OUT..Rondo IN for Eastern All Stars

Looks like Joe Johnson's knee injury will keep him out the Knicks game tonight as well as the all star game..

Joe Johnson underwent an MRI in Atlanta on Tuesday, and he was diagnosed with left knee tendinitis. As previously announced, he’ll miss the Hawks’ next two games.



In addition, Johnson won’t participate in this weekend’s All-Star game and activities in Orlando. He will be re-evaluated prior to Atlanta’s first game after the All-Star break


Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe is reporting that Rajon Rondo will replace Johnson on the Eastern Conference All-Star team.

I dunno.. if Rondo shoulda been the choice.. Deron Williams.. Josh Smith.. I dunno.. they come to mind first..
